EZ Necklace Tutorial
How to use the EZ Necklace sizer

HOW TO MAKE A SINGLE STRAND CHOKER:

STEP 1:   Measure to determine the finished length of the necklace.  Cut the beading wire about 3 to 4 inches longer than this measurement, depending on the beadsize you are using.

STEP 2:  String beads and secure the ends with tape.  Hold necklace up to your chosen measurement on the EZ Sizer to see if you need to add or subtract any beads.  Be sure to figure in the size of your clasp.

STEP 3:  Attach clasp with crimp beads.

NOTE:  Try flattening your crimp beads with a chain nose (flat nose) pliers just enough to hold it in place.  This will enable you to reopen the crimp bead so you can adjust the size if need be.  You can reopen the crimp bead by placing it upright in the outer jaw of the crimping pliers and squeezing gently.

HOW TO MAKE A TRIPLE STRAND NECKLACE:

STEP 1:  Determine how long you want each strand to be.  Usually, if a strand is 1 inch longer than the one above it, it will hang 1/2 inch below the shorter strand.

STEP 2:  To work out your pattern, string only the front 3 or 4 inches of   the shortest strand.

STEP 3:  Tape the ends to the back of the EZ Neclace at the line that corresponds to the shortest strand measurement.  For example if your strands will be 16", 17" and 18", tape each strand at the 16" line.

STEP 4:  Continue stringing the front portion of the second and third strands and tape the ends to the same line as the first.  Make any adjustments in the placement of the focal beads.  Use the EZ Necklace to work out how each strand's focal bead lies in relation to the other focal beads.

STEP 5:  After working out your design, finish beading each strand and attach your clasp.

NOTE:  Most multi-strand necklaces will lay the same on the EZ Necklace as they do on the neck.
